About the role…Working within Avove Procurement, Fleet and Plant team, the Procurement Manager will assist the business with their procurement requirements and provide support to the business in accessing and using nominated suppliers as well as sourcing newsuppliers to deliver the business needs.This will involve all aspects of best practice procurement and supply chain management in order to add value whilst exceeding customer experience.You will be fully responsible for providing procurement bid support, managing the procurement process on the contract mobilisations and managing the on-going procurement process. This is a fixed term position for a minimum term of 6 months and is of a hybrid working nature involving homeworking and working from our Chorley office or our offices in the Midlands.What will your day look like…Management of designated category responsibilities, developing relationships and providing expertise to ensure all goods, materials and services are supplied at competitive pricing.Promoting through early involvement the potential for procurement to add value and improve customer servicesEstablishing category strategies to include purchases, market intelligence and sourcing plans to meet the needs of the businessDeveloping and executing specific Master Agreements as part of supplier/category management responsibilitiesAbout you…
This role is perfect for someone who has completed or is currently working towards membership of Chartered Institutes of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS).
