The highest standards of customer service, operational excellence and delivery are central to everything we do.We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to be based at either our Grangemouth/Southampton or London office. (Remote will be considered)What You’ll Be Responsible For:Improving the supplier database. Ensuring suppliers are approved and re-approved, that data is accurate and relevant. Identifying critical and strategic suppliers.Assisting branches in negotiating agreements with suppliers that maximizes discounts and ensure that discounts are timely and in line with GAC policies.Actively manage expectations to suppliers from pre- qualification stage to approval, agreement and re- approval stage.Work with branches to manage suppliers and coordinate audits and engage with strategic and critical suppliers.Improving on written policies and procedures related to procurement to ensure clear guidelines for suppliers, staff, managementHandling of all company Leases and Insurances and dealing with brokers with general enquires and for all renewals.Sustainability Process setting and reporting, to ensure we meet statutory and company/group reporting requirements, and also company strategy requirements, including ensuring our ability to report CO2, and ensure suppliers meet our sustainability requirementsJob requirementsThe ideal candidate will have:Qualification in Procurement, purchasing, supply chain management (preferred but not essential)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSpecialist Knowledge in contracts, pricing, writing business cases and sustainability.Expert/Professional level user of Excel, and competent user of other Microsoft applicationsAnalytical skillsExperience of working to strict deadlinesExperience of project management, excellent negotiation skills and sustainability managementWilling to develop and grow (we offer lots of opportunity to learn, take courses, etc)The PackageGAC gives you the opportunity to work for an employer who is committed to offering all our staff an enjoyable and rewarding career, with significant training and development prospects.
