Job DescriptionProcurement ManagerManufacturing£52,000 - £57,000 + bonus + benefitsOnsite - NottinghamshireWe are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our partner's dynamic procurement team. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of transactional procurement, supply chain management, and team leadership within their fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision and practical expertise to drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in our procurement processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Implement effective communication strategies and performance management practices to achieve team objectives.Transactional Procurement: Oversee all transactional procurement activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement of materials and services. Streamline procurement processes through automation and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, managing contracts and negotiations to ensure reliability, sustainability, and competitive pricing. Analyse and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted production.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting market analysis to leverage emerging opportunities and technologies. Implement strategic sourcing initiatives that align with company objectives and sustainability goals.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to align procurement strategies with company-wide objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the organization.Maintain accurate records and reports to monitor procurement performance and compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Ensure ethical procurement practices and adherence to environmental and social governance standards.Qualifications:Degree qualified in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent CIPS qualification.Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing procurement and supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and supply chain risk management.Embracing diversity in all its forms, our client is an equal opportunity employer.
