I'm currently looking for an Procurement Manager to join an established construction company based within the South-EastRole: Procurement ManagerLocation: Hertfordshire Hemel HempsteadSalary: 70,000Working Type: Full Time - Hybrid To be successful in role you must be a natural collaborator, using diplomacy to influence key stakeholders across the business. In this key position, you will play an integral part in strengthening the day-to-day operations by building a fit-for-purpose procurement function, ensuring the operational team has all materials needed, when they're needed.Main Duties and Responsibilities:evaluate and onboard new suppliers, considering factors such as quality, reliability, risks and cost-effectivenessnegotiate favourable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising on qualitylead contract negotiations and ensure that contracts are comprehensive and in the best interest of the organisation whilst monitoring and managing contract performance, addressing any deviations from agreed termsidentify and assess potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions by staying abreast of market conditions, geopolitical factors and other external influences that may impact the procurement processwork closely with key stakeholders to understand project requirements and align procurement activities with project timelinesdevelop and implement procurement plans aligned with the organisation's targets and project requirementsidentify opportunities for process improvements in the procurement cycle to enhance efficiencyimplement best practices and leverage technology to streamline procurement processesgenerate and analyse reports related to procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost metrics and provide insight to managementengage, motivate and support the development of your teammonitor and identify training and development opportunities for the teamWhat we're looking for:Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in the construction sectorstrong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation and supplier managementunderstanding of regulatory requirements related to procurement in the construction industryexcellent communication and negotiation skillsability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsresults-oriented with a focus on achieving cost savings and operational efficiencyhighly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands effectivelystrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiespeople skills must enjoy working with people on a personal level, building trust, being approachable, tactful and diplomaticflexibility to travel and work at multiple locationsdriving license and access to a suitable vehicle to drive for work purposesIf this sounds like the job for you then apply or send your CV to (url removed)
