dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag and Travel Republic.
We are now recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join us at our UK flagship office in Leyland, providing procurement support across all indirect spend categories.
In this role you will support and lead on procurement activities predominantly in the IT, Marketing and Facilities space. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Procurement to establish and embed category management, procurement strategy, supplier management principles and procurement analytics.
We’re looking for someone who is a highly experienced negotiator and competent in contract reviews and the tendering processes across multiple categories of spend.
Procurement sits within the Finance Function of dnata Travel Group. The function is still relatively new with plans to grow and develop, so this is an exciting time to join us.
This is a hybrid role working 3 days each week in the office and 2 days remotely.
Job Accountabilities
Support and lead on procurement activities across IT, Marketing and Facilities
Develop, own and manage procurement analytics
Lead and support on multi category RFI/RFP processes and contract reviews
Maintain and review our supplier and contract management database
Support business stakeholders to review and make risk assessments of all suppliers and contracts
Support business stakeholders with supplier negotiations and to monitor, report and regularly review supplier performance against targets
Track and monitor financial performance of supplier delivery and drive supplier improvement plans to optimise performance & value
Support business stakeholders in managing contract performance and building strong supplier relationships to ensure contract compliance and delivery in line with contractual requirements
Support the Head of Procurement to embed a procurement category strategy, that is directly aligned to the business strategy
Work with Head of Procurement to further develop and promote good procurement practice
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Degree in a business/management discipline
MCIPS or studying towards
Significant experience in a procurement, contract or supplier management role
Extensive experience of working across multiple categories of indirect spend (a strong IT/Marketing background would be an advantage)
Strong knowledge and experience in deploying procurement analytics
A demonstrable track record of managing global suppliers delivering services to a global business
Experience in RFI, RFQ, RFP processes
A proven track record of negotiating, reviewing and managing contracts & ROI with suppliers
Strong knowledge or training on supplier/contract management
Confident in analysing procurement/spend data
Strong influencing & negotiation skills
Knowledge in researching & sourcing vendors, market intelligence/supply base assurance activities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
