Ideally based at our depot in Newcastle-under-Lyme, the Procurement Manger will report to the CFO and will be responsible for:Leading and execution of procurement and buying activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship managementDeveloping a strategic approach to the purchase of direct and indirect goods/services, leveraging scale opportunities presented by the rapid growth of the group and the integration of acquired businesses.Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for procurement around the Groupin order to promote effectiveness and efficiency.Take ownership of procurement across the group, driving consistency and best practices.Build and maintain key supplier relationships and lead on the identification, delivery and reporting of procurement savings following the review and consolidation of the Group’s supply chain.Support the development of our new ERPsystem to ensure P2P related processes are more automated and system level controls are robust. Develop key procurement related MI including supplier spend analysis.Partner with the wider SLT and Board regarding procurement activities to ensure key supplies are procured by the team when needed enabling the efficient delivery of our services to Clients.Serve as the primary contact for procurement related questions, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments and work with the Training team to ensure delivery of procurement specific training.QualificationsThe right candidate should have:CIPS Level 4/5 or equivalent experience.Confident negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to .Experience of managing supplier relationships and internal stakeholders.A proven ability to work in a high-growth environment, be self-driven and navigate well in a multi-site, multi-business Group.It would be advantageous if you had:Knowledge of IFS or other global ERP systems.Advanced use of MS Office essential and Power BI.Manufacturing or Construction Sector experience.Joining WJ Group means being part of a growing business that values innovation and individual contributions.
