About the Role:
As our Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering our procurement activities towards excellence. Your responsibilities will include leading tender management using e-tendering software, ensuring contract compliance, and resolving procurement issues effectively. You will be instrumental in planning and organizing contract renewals, guiding internal department managers, and developing category strategies and plans. This role demands a proactive approach to managing the tender process, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and promoting equality and diversity in all procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
" Lead and manage tender processes using e-tendering software.
" Ensure contract compliance and effective issue resolution.
" Plan and organize contract renewals and re-tendering activities.
" Guide internal department managers on supplier performance management.
" Develop and implement category strategies and plans.
" Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procurement strategies.
" Facilitate the Value for Money Group and compile annual reports.
" Assist in the development and progression of Procurement Strategies.
What this client is Looking For:
Qualifications: Ideally MCIPS Qualified, or this client will consider a min CIPS Level 4 ,
" Experience: Proven track record in public sector procurement, with extensive experience in end-to-end procurement tendering and contract management.
" Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, efficient time management, and excellent
IT skills.
" Knowledge: Up to date with the latest procurement directives and best practices.
" Attributes: Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, demonstrating a commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
