Procurement Lead/Buyer

Contract Scotland are delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a Groundworks and Civil Engineering Landscaping Contractor to assist in their search for a procurement experienced candidate to join their team based in East Kilbride. This is a great opportunity and as a Procurement Lead/Buyer, where the successful candidate will carry out all aspects of the procurement process in accordance with the Groups Procurement and Supply Chain Management Strategy. This would suit a proactive, process driven person with good communication skills.Issue pricing documents to relevant suppliers to meet site programme requirementsEvaluate tender returns taking account of value adding service to give a whole life costConducting final negotiations with selected suppliers to enable contract awardRaise Purchase Orders for all Materials and Plant Hire on selected systems in line with company policies and proceduresLiaise with sites to assist with the resolution of supply issues as and when requiredWork with and advise Project Teams on material specifications and alternatives where appropriateProvide regular reports on procurement betterment and supplier performanceAttend site and office based Project Meetings as requiredMonitor and maintain vendor database to ensure that it contains up to date details of available suppliersManage relationships and Supply Chain agreements with selected suppliers, including renewal; performance; spend; strengths; weaknesses and opportunitiesMonitor the supply market to identify potential new suppliers and products and meet with suppliers to understand their product offeringsFocus on exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of customer requirements, technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiencyInvestigate and support the resolution of supplier invoice queriesIf you believe you have the skills and experience required for this role and feel this a great opportunity is for you, please apply by submitting your CV.Legal Information:Contract Scotland acts as an employment agency for permanent work and acts as an employment business for temporary work.
