Procurement Category Business Partner

My public sector client is looking for a procurement professional to come and join them on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Deputy Director of Procurement, the role of Procurement Category Business Partner will be to maximise value for money by developing and leading on strategic procurement exercises as well as developing category management across a range of corporate categories. As a member of the senior team you will also be a dedicated point of contact for all procurement and supply chain activities and be responsible for providing procurement advice and support when required.

Day to day you will be tasked with developing strategic and commercial strategies across your spend portfolio as well as develop category expertise and market knowledge that will benefit the organisation. You will also ensure that contract compliance is in place for all procurement activity and that due diligence and risk assessments are performed. You will also need to ensure all procurement activity is carried out in line with public sector procurement regulations.

This role is a senior role within the organisation and required someone with a strong background in delivering results in a public sector organisation as well as someone who can develop and lead on strategy.

This is a permanent role and requires a minimum of 1 day a week in the office. The salary range is �56,000 to �65,000.
