Our client is part of a key division of a prominent decommissioning authority in the UK which brings together the expertise of several entities to concentrate on the management of the country's nuclear waste. Playing a crucial role in the environmental clean-up mission, they provide enduring solutions to the nation's nuclear waste challenges. As such, they are now urgently seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner to help them on this journey.

Your new role
The primary objective of this role is to manage the procurement and contract management of projects in an effective and efficient manner, end-to-end, supporting the company, thereby facilitating sound business decisions. This role is also responsible for providing authoritative advice to the business on strategic and operational commercial matters, aiding in the implementation of the GDF programme. Furthermore, it involves managing their contractual arrangements as a limited company, while ensuring compliance with the Public Contract Regulations (PCR). An additional responsibility is to support the development of the supply chain and ensure that the organisation has appropriate tracking and intelligence systems in place to effectively manage its strategic suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have solid experience managing indirect procurement projects as well as working in a commercial team. You must have a thorough understanding of managing procurement and contract projects from start to finish, in line with PCR-#####. You should be skilled at managing a demanding workload and prioritising tasks effectively. Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. This includes the ability to format formal contract documents in Word in detail. You will be a quick learner and adapt to new processes and IT systems. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to professionally present and discuss information and extract information from others. It is essential that you are a resilient individual and are not afraid of a challenge.
