About this Role
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Procurement and Contracts Officer will play a critical role in managing the procurement process for goods and services across our multi-academy trust. They will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

As the Procurement and Contracts Officer you'll play a crucial role in our mission to support our staff and uphold the highest standards of contract management ensuring best practice and service delivery.
As this is a new role we are offering a 12 month contract initially which will then be extended into a permanent role if successful
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies for a multi-academy trust, prioritising value for money.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, emphasising sustainability and social value.
Coordinate procurement processes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Monitor supplier performance, address issues promptly, and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, providing guidance and support in procurement activities.
Stay updated on industry trends, manage contract renewals, and resolve disputes with suppliers.

Requirements:
Proven experience of contract management.
Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the education sector or a similar environment.
Educated to a degree level in business administration, or have relevant qualifications in contract management or procurement.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other ICT systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
