Process Improvement Engineer

Jenrick Engineering are currently recruiting for a Process Improvement Engineer on behalf of a leading foundry within the steel and iron castings industry. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who is from a foundry background and looking to progress their career within the continuous improvement sector. Offering a salary between �30k and �35k. You will work closely with the Technical Manager (process) and other vital leaders.

As a Process Improvement Engineer, the role will involve:

• Minimising internal and external scrap
• Being present in the development and methodology of parameters that produce sound castings
• Pioneer design modifications needed to enhance the quality, reduce lead time, tooling and manufacturing costs
• Maintain calibration of simulation software and measurement tools
• Develop and maintain 'right time first time' culture
• Advance and support operational methodology of simulation software
• Co-ordinate and maintain QC systems according to VFL quality management
• Reduce cost of manufacturing and eliminate re-working
• Be a role model for the department to influence positive change
• Mentor employees with potential and passion for learning
