Process Engineer

We are recruiting for a Process Engineer(Iron Castings) to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Coventry area. The Process Engineer will work as part of a team working on design modifications to enhance quality, reduce lead time and manufacturing costs.As a Process Engineer you will be required too :* To minimise internal and external scrap* Maintain calibration of simulation software and measurement tools* Coordinate sample process from start to finish* Coordinate and maintain QC systems* Work to reduce the cost of manufacturing and to eliminate any reworking* Implement best practice solutions (gating and feeding) and reducing non value added processing and activities (Cutting, grinding and transporting)* Optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/rigging* Liaise with subcontract tooling engineers and pattern shops* Liaise with customers, machinists and processors of castings* Review best practices and implement learnings* Promote lean manufacturing/continuous improvement tools where needed* Coordinate and maintain QC systemsRequirements:* Previous experience as a Process Engineer position in a similar manufacturing environment* An understanding of green sand and cold box processes* Experience with Iron castings* Able to implement best practice solutions* Able to optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/rigging* Experience of upgrading and maintaining NPI and ensure that manufacturing data is logged* Able to liaise with subcontract tooling engineers/pattern shopsJoin our team as a Process Engineer and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
