Process Controls Engineer

Process Controls Engineer – Permanent – Oil and Gas / Energy / Hydrogen/ LNG / LPG / Offshore
What you will do:
Provide process control (applications) engineering support to the plant
Develop and implement basic regulatory and advanced process control applications to improve the performance of facilities
Develop engineering solutions using advanced automation tools to improve the effectiveness of process control applications
Sustaining and enhancing existing process control applications for value maximization
Supporting and leading engineering assessments, engineering design, process troubleshooting, applications performance analysis and applications risk assessments
Maintenance, modification and installation of instrument loops for base control applications and advance control applications.
Initiate/support changes in technology or work practices to improve plant reliability, safety and profitability
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement to plant processes
About you:
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Engineering Bachelors’ degree with strong preference for Chemical Engineering
At least three (3) years of relevant experience in petrochemical / chemical / refinery processing technologies
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Demonstrated experience with regulatory and advanced control technologies
Experience with model predictive control, preferably DMC
DCS Base Control knowledge preferably Honeywell Experion
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate as part of a team responding to competing priorities and stakeholders
Excellent troubleshooting skills
