Process Chemist

NES Fircroft are currently recruiting a Process Chemist on behalf of a leading agricultural and chemical company who specialises in Crop Protection Solutions.
This is a fantastic 12 month contract opportunity for a Process Chemist who is looking to develop and learn about a fascinating industry. The client is looking for experienced Process Chemists, as well as being open to recent PhD achievers or those with a University Degree plus lab experience.
Role purpose
To develop, evaluate and scale-up chemical processes for new and existing products, as agreed withthe +1 manager, in order to establish or improve manufacturing capability, and where appropriate toprovide first line technical support to manufacturing plants in order to improve their operation and Supply
Chain contribution.
Manage activities in compliance with site, company and regulatory requirements, e.g. SIs, HSE policy and standards, COMAH (Health and Safety Executive), PPC (SEPA) etc. Use knowledge and experience to improve ways of working safely in conjunction with Dept Safety Leadership.
Plan and carry out chemical process development work on new and existing processes in the laboratory to meet development targets on quality, cost, operability, productivity and HSE impact as agreed with the Senior Process Chemist, Technical Lead or Principal Process Chemist.
