Private Rented Service (PRS) Team Leader

Would you enjoy working with a new team to help landlords, individuals and families have successful private rental tenancies and reduce homelessness? Do you have experience of working in private residential lettings or housing advice? Are you an experienced or aspiring manager a leader who is looking for a new challenge and would relish the opportunity to make a difference to peoples lives? Do you work with Private Sector Landlords or have experience of supporting tenants? We are looking for exceptional candidates to fill a number of roles within the new Private Lettings Service. The PRS Team Leader will manage the service, driving uptake of private properties and developing an excellent service for private landlords and tenants. The roles are fixed term until December 2025Cheshire West and Chester Council’s new Private Lettings Service is being established to deliver high quality services for landlords and tenants in the Borough. The service aims to increase the supply of affordable private rental accommodation and work with landlords to help prevent homelessness and ensure the right support is offered at the right time. The pilot service has initial funding until December 2025. We are recruiting for a number of staff to work in the newly created team to be based in The Portal, Ellesmere Port. Work location will be flexible involving office-based, working from home, working at other council offices, and visiting landlords and tenants across the district. There are 5 fixed term posts which form the pilot service: Team leader, Lettings officers (x3), Support officer and Accommodation officer.
