Canterbury



Salary £23,700 DOE



Hours - Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm



Benefits - 25 days holiday and bank holidays, Pension

Our client is a well respected local firm of solicitors who have won multiple awards within their industry. 







Responsibilities of Private Client Secretary






  • Execute assigned tasks following detailed procedures and quality standards outlined in the companies SOPs

  • Provide professional and friendly support to clients both in person and over the telephone, aligning with the firm’s standards for client care

  • Handle routine client inquiries and communications whenever possible

  • Cultivate positive working relationships within the firm and with external institutions and organisations

  • Maintain clear and precise communication with other personnel within the firm

  • Generate correspondence and documents using audio typing and case management as appropriate

  • Administer filing procedures, including daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files, following detailed procedures outlined in the company SOPs

  • Prepare mail and accompanying enclosures for dispatch

  • Perform or coordinate photocopying, faxing, and other relevant administrative activities as required







 Person specifications for Private Client Secretary








  • Must be an effective team player with strong communication skills, demonstrating sensitivity to and active contribution towards team needs

  • Needs to be a self-motivated individual who is adept at initiating and prioritising tasks autonomously

  • Ideally, be adaptable to the organisational requirements

  • Must possess a helpful, friendly, and professional demeanour

  • Ideally, demonstrates a high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to consistently project the image and ethos of the firm

  • Must be willing to contribute positively to the department and organisational direction over time

  • Previous experience with private client work would be advantageous
