Their model in London is to offer “Silicon Valley-style” business and legal advice to UK and European businesses, with a particular focus on UK and European tech companies exploring US expansion, fundraising or exit.The firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity practice deals with complex data protection, cybersecurity and digital regulatory issues for their client companies around the world. Their highly experienced, specialist team works in a highly motivating and challenging environment on exciting, cutting-edge development and expansion projects involving all aspects of UK and EU privacy and data protection law, and increasingly on digital regulatory issues. They regularly represent clients in high-stakes multi-jurisdictional investigations brought by data protection regulators in the UK, the European Union, the U.S. and around the world. They advise clients on GDPR and UK GDPR compliance projects, international data transfer strategies, data breaches and cybersecurity incidents, privacy as it affects corporate transactions, contract negotiation, and litigation before national courts and the European Court of Justice.The firm pays top NY rates for Associates. In order to be considered for a role in the Privacy and Cybersecurity team at this elite firm, you will be:•
An England & Wales-qualified solicitor with probably between 3 and 6 years’ post-qualification experience in data protection and cyber-security law, most likely gained in London from a Magic or Silver Circle, international, or peer US firm. •
Genuinely interested in the development of data protection and cybersecurity law, and working with clients on the cutting edge of technology or life sciences. •
An entrepreneurial team player, enthusiastic and proactive, and have the personality, energy, and initiative to take advantage of an exceptional opportunity.You will have:•
Superior academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. •
Familiarity with tech industry clients, and data protection regulation, policy and enforcement.Some background or at least familiarity with computer programming, network technologies, database design, and web technologies is strongly preferred.This is a sensational opportunity to work with a firm right at the top end of its game.
