This is a newly created leadership role within the Greenwich ADAPT (Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorder and Trauma) Secondary Care team. You will be joining a diverse team of psychologists, psychotherapists and CBT therapists. Our primary interventions at present are primarily (short and long term) group based and include MBT, CBT, Psychotherapy as well as the team approach of SCM. We offer a small amount of EMDR in the service, which we are expanding. We hope to set up a DBT service in the Autumn and this post holder will act as the Clinical Lead for this and so experience in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy or DBT would be desirable but not essential. The post holder will lead on the development and evaluation of this pilot DBT service. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting the consultant clinical psychologist with managing Response To Treatment times of 18 weeks from referral to treatment as well as holding a clinical caseload. Other leadership opportunities will be available such as representing ADAPT psychology at business meetings.Main duties of the jobTo act as the clinical lead in developing, implementing and evaluating a pilot DBT service Integrating with the wider MDT and providing a psychologically informed perspective at clinical meetings Manage the Response to treatment times alongside the consultant clinical psychologist Provision of clinical supervision and reflective practice as required Provision of psychological assessment, report writing and interventions (across a range of client groups and interventions) To manage the delivery and development of the services group programme ensuring that high quality, evidence based care is delivered in a timely way.About usOxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesPost-graduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist. Or Registration within a core mental health profession (e.g. nursing, psychology, social work, OT) and BABCP accreditation as a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist/ psychotherapist Recognised supervision training.
