Global E&C - Principal Structural Engineers
Global E&C is seeking experienced Principal Structural Engineers for contract opportunities in Aberdeen. This key role ensures structural engineering activities align with Global E&C's integrated delivery model. Responsibilities include:
Supporting the Lead engineer in team management, workload allocation, and quality assurance.
Providing design input for tenders and proposals.
Offering technical input for scopes of work and estimates.
Ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, and standards.
Checking/approving discipline deliverables by team members.
Maintaining project plan and providing progress updates.
Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, codes, and procedures.
Successful candidates should ideally demonstrate:
Degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject.
Chartered with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
Brownfield experience in the offshore sector.
Technical competence in concept, FEED, and detailed design of steel structures.
Knowledge and experience in relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, AISC, DNV, etc.).
Competence in relevant engineering analysis and calculation software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Mathcad).
Competence in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering.
