Principal/Senior Scientist (Protein Engineering)

Exciting role for an experienced Synthetic Biologist/Bio Engineer to join a biotech company specialising in novel gene editing technologies.

Due to expansion, our client is looking to hire a Scientist to join their team to support the development of a synthetic, non-CRIPR gene modulation platform that has potential applications in therapeutics, diagnostics and cell engineering.

Using directed evolution as well as a variety of molecular biology techniques, including various cloning strategies, you will help to develop enzymes for a truly innovative technology.

The ideal candidate will have:

• PhD in life sciences with 5-10 years of experience in protein engineering


• Working knowledge of directed evolution of proteins ideally enzymes


• A strong foundation in molecular biology approaches including cloning strategies

Experience in computational biology and data mining as well as the development of gene editing technologies is highly advantageous.
