CK Group are working in partnership with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company to recruit an experienced Principal Scientist with expert virology knowledge, to join them at their site based in East London on a permanent basis.The Company:An industry-leading clinical development services business based in East LondonPrincipal Scientist Role:Provide scientific expertise, leadership and advice to multiple projects.Develop training plans and deliver study management training programs alongside line managers.Training, mentoring and supervising all Senior Research Scientists and Study Leads.Client facing role, supporting in the setup of their projects.Responsibilities:Provide full Study Management function.Provide technical advice and expertise in clinical study design, in line with client requirements.Attend client meetings and conferences as a technical expert in virology, viral challenge model and GMP Virus.Expert understanding of the mechanism of action of viral infection and antiviral drugs and vaccines.Have an expert knowledge in the field of virology as well as a thorough understanding of developments in assay technologies.Your Background:Degree in relevant scientific subject or PhD in Biological Science.Expert Virology knowledge gained throughout academia and industry.Working knowledge of GLP labs and standards.Ability to supervise and mentor.Experienced in project management and providing technical support to senior key stakeholders and clients.Apply:It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
