Morson Group is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and skilled Principal Production Engineer to join a world-leading and innovative company based in Salisbury.
The role primarily focuses on technical leadership, research and development, project management, training and mentorship of engineers, regulatory compliance and goal setting. As the Principal Production Engineer you will play a critical role in advancing and production capabilities while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will report into Head of Automation & Production Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Provide technical leadership to the production team, driving the optimization of manufacturing processes and resolving complex technical challenges
• Lead research and development initiatives to identify and implement advanced technologies and best practices in production processes
• Manage production-related projects, including process improvements, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansion
• Mentor and train engineers and production staff, facilitating the transfer of technical knowledge and skill development
• Collaborate with senior management to set clear, measurable, and ambitious goals for the Production Engineering Team

Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience in project management, leading in a manufacturing environment, and leading multi-functional teams
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling
• Working understanding of pneumatics
• Working understanding of Hydraulics
• New Product Introduction
• UK Explosive Regulations Knowledge
• Understanding of Licencing and zones
• Knowledge of EST precautions
• DSEAR AND ATEX equipment selection
