Our goal is to become the leading insurance company for connected and autonomous vehicles, and we're building a world-class team to help us get there.THE ROLEDirectly work on making the world quantifiably safer and power Flock’s competitive advantage by focusing on acquiring and turning high-volume driving/telemetry data into a structural profit advantageWHAT WE THINK IS MOST EXCITING ABOUT THE ROLE:Directly power Flock’s competitive advantage by focusing on acquiring and turning high-volume driving/telemetry data into a structural profit advantage by beginning the product manager for the data science and data engineering teamsDirectly work on making the world quantifiably saferWork with all product teams but particularly with the Data Engineering and Data Science teams to pump IoT telemetry into factors for pricing and safety interventions, as well as reducing claims costs e.g. through automatic crash detectionBring all Flock’s data activities into a single end-to-end roadmapBuild and lead 2-3 software licensing partnerships and source 5-10 data supply partnerships, supported by the COOA LITTLE MORE ON WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Define, manage and deliver the roadmap for our Data and Connectivity domains, this includes the coordination of key partners in line with Flock's strategic direction - from TSPs to scoring, crash detection and more.Ship value to customers by proactively collaborating and aligning with all Flock product development squadsPrioritisation and management of the activities of our Data Squad, including management of the backlog and participation in Agile activities in partnership with Head of Data and Head of Data ScienceSource, assess, negotiate, and contract strategic connectivity and data processing partnershipsManage a network of Telematics Service Providers through ongoing relationship and service managementEngage in the definition and proactively maintain Flock's data quality levels to deliver maximum value and adoption of key products and servicesPartner with Data Science and Propositions to ensure a clear product catalogue of key in-house and licensed capabilities, their availability and performance across various product offerings and segmentsDrive the evaluation of future technology by engaging in market developments, both hardware and software, to fuel Flock’s long-term competitive advantageOperate as a key member of the Flock product team and contribute to the evolution of our product vision, strategy and OKRsWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FLOCK:An astute ‘doer’, highly outcome-driven with authentic people skillsA principal B2B product manager having shipped multiple products in high-paced environmentsAbility to develop strong relationships with technical and non-technical partners alike, both internally and externallyExperience building and launching one or more Telematics, IOT, Data, API, or Connectivity productsHighly proficient roadmapping skills across several platform domains including partner-sourced components, enabled by highly effective people-partnering skillsClear management of strategic partners/suppliers or customers from negotiations through planning, integration and in-life operation.Highly data-driven decision-maker who can clearly articulate the customer and business impact of decisionsDemonstrated ability to build business cases, market evaluation and ROI projection to gain buy-in on key strategic decisionsTechnically literate and able to converse and participate in ideation with Data Scientists and Data Engineers as well as digest technical documentation & materialsA calm and detailed focus on the alignment of large company initiativesPREFERABLEPrior experience in both medium/large and small tech businessesPrior experience in Insurance and Telematics/IoTPrior experience working with Data Science and Engineering teamsPrior experience working in a fast-paced agile environmentExposure to Product Management best practicesTechnically capable and able to utilise low/no code tooling to self-serve in experimentation or analysisA comfortable public speakerFamiliar with tools such as Miro, Notion, Jira & LookerWHAT WE OFFER (in addition to a competitive salary)• Participation in Flock’s Share Option Scheme • 25 days of holiday (+ Bank Holidays) • Workplace Pension • Private Medical Insurance
