💲 Salary/Rate: £75 - £ 83 per hr (inside IR35)
📍 Location: Hybrid Aldermaston, nr Reading
⏱️ Contract Duration: 18 months

We are currently looking for a Principal Procurement Manager for our government client. This Principal Procurement Manager role is hybrid, based between working on site in Aldermaston 2 days per week, and the remainder of the week working remotely.

The contract for the Principal Procurement Manager position is initially for 18 months with potential to extend, offering an hourly rate within the range of £ 75 to £ 83, operating inside IR35.

Security Clearance: Security Check ("SC Clearance")

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

• Commercial leadership experience
• Experience leading a specific procurement activity.
• Process and project management focus over people management
• Knowledge of Public sector procurement regulation and experience of applying to contracts and procurements.
• Understanding/experience procuring across various categories
• Understanding/experience managing contracts, ideally NEC 4
• Knowledge and experience using Crown Commercial Service procurement frameworks.
• Experience liaising with a broad range of government stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Experience delivering high value procurements.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, bring together people/views to inform decision making.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Procurement Management, or a related field. professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
• Proven experience in procurement leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, E-procurement systems advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
