Principal Planning Officer

The Royal Borough is looking for an experienced planning officer manage a caseload of major planning applications from pre-application discussions through to application submission and decision and associated submission of conditions post decision.
Role Purpose�

The position is within the Major Applications Team, reporting directly to the Major Applications Manager. The right candidate will have previous Development Management experience of working on complex minor applications and small major applications as lead officer, with an understanding of s106 agreements and viability negotiations. Requirements�

• Eligible for Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant planning legislation, policies and procedures
• Experience working in a council or housing association
• An RTPI-recognised degree level qualification in Town Planning or equivalent

Contract

• Initial 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend�
• PAYE VIA UMBRELLA
• Rate Negotiable depending on experience
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
