The role is based in London where we are seeking to establish a base for this discipline, with the new hire being a key part of this growth.We are seeking an experienced engineer who can work fairly autonomously, with the support of the wider team, who has the desire to move into a Lead Engineer or Team lead role that we can grow a team around. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact within the business, whilst having established growth opportunities in place that will allow you to tailor the focus of the London team moving forwards.The successful candidate will be required to provide input and expertise in the design of subsea pipeline systems at all phases through the design of a system. This will include the execution and delivery of the design of subsea pipelines, risers and tie-in spools in both traditional oil and gas projects as well as Energy Transition such as CCUS, Hydrogen etc.Further, it is expected that the Subsea Pipeline Engineer will need to interact with our other global engineering centres.As the engineer grows into a team lead position the role will hold more of a focus on resource allocation, team management, proposal development and be the focal point for our Pipelines discipline in London, as well as still provide technical input and reviews. We are seeking a passionate and motivated engineer that is keen to grow in their role, whilst gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across the Energy Transition and Oil & Gas industries.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical input and management in the delivery of subsea scopes.Perform pipeline mechanical design activities at pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Operating and Decommissioning phases.Contribute to the technology development of the team.Represent Genesis at meetings.Contribute towards bids and tenders.Undertake & check calculations.Write and check project deliverables.Skills Required (Background, experience and qualifications):Previousexperience in the Oil & Gas or Energy Transition Subsea Engineering industry.Previousexperience undertaking the design and analysis of subsea pipelines, tie-in spools and risers.Minimum - first Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline and CEng &/or PEng. More mature jobholders may possess professional qualifications other than CEng etc.Pipeline analysis (e.g. Wall thickness, on bottom stability, UHB, Spanning, Expansion, tie in spool stress analysis, riser analysis) experience.Experience with MathCad.Check isometrics, general arrangement, field layout, alignment sheets & approach drawings.Understanding of the principles of fatigue.Full command of English language.Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software.Preferred:Experience using Abaqus to assess pipelines and pipeline componentsProgramming using Python.Experience using FS2000Experience with working on Study projects & contributing to FEEDs, Option reviews etc.CP and coating considerations.Preparation of line pipe specifications and data sheets.It is essential that applicants must have the right to work in the UK..“As an equal opportunity employer Technip Energies considers only qualified applicants without regard to colour, age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender expression, disability, national origin, veteran or marital status. We are seeking a Consultant Engineer with expertise in Technical Safety & Risk studies. The role involves independent operation, performing assessments and writing reports with support from the Study Manager. Proficiency in industry modelling and analysis techniques is preferred. The work encompasses conceptual studies, design, operational support, and decommissioning. The Consultant engineer must interface with clients, engage in marketing and business development, and represent Genesis in industry working groups. Essential requirements include experience in Technical Safety, Risk, and Loss Prevention, an Engineering degree, workshop management skills, execution of Risk studies, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks. Advantageous experience includes Functional Safety, tools like PHAST and Flaresim, and expertise in CCUS, Hydrogen, and Wind.
