Title:Principal Offshore Structural EngineerKBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.As a Principal Technical Professional - Offshore Structural, you will support the lead engineer related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:Independently perform engineering analyses for operational phase (inplace, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, lifting) and accidental phase (blast, fire, dropped object) and carry out design of primary steel.Perform secondary and tertiary steel design.Provide input for Structural 3D modelling and drawing productionCompile Design basis, project specifications and design reports as required.Review vendor data from structural perspectiveReview analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepanciesThe work will involve liaising with client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.REQUIREMENTSDegree in Structural Engineering DesignExperienced in Conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering of offshore platforms and FPSOExcellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software a prerequisite.Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasksAbility to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environmentAbility to work in an office-based role KBR COMPANY INFORMATION When you become part of the KBR team, your opportunities are endless.
