Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)
Location: Edenbridge, Kent, UK
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to �70,000 + 10% bonus
A leading multi-disciplinary engineering solutions firm, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team based in Edenbridge, Kent. They are looking for a new Principal or Senior Engineer due to securing a major new Data Centre project. Prior Data Centre experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
* Lead and contribute to the mechanical design and development of complex engineering projects.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the design team.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
* Drive projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical delivery excellence.
* Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance analysis.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a focus on delivering technically challenging projects.
* Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
