You will be joining a team of 8 people as a Principal Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer and will be a go-to person for technical escalations. You will be at the forefront of strategy design and implementation as they start their journey to the Azure cloud. Day-to-day your role will be an 80:20 split between infrastructure work and DevOps activities. This role will suit someone with a genuine ambition to make their stamp long term on the IT infrastructure of a major organisation.
Essential skills/experience required for the Principal Infrastructure and Platform Engineer:
Traditional infrastructure engineering experience
Azure Cloud Infrastructure experience
Scripting and automation (PowerShell)
Desirable skills/experience required for the Principal Infrastructure and Platform Engineer:
Small team mentorship/management
Being a point of escalation for technical issues
Virtualization (Hyper-V)
