The Principal Geotechnical Engineer selected will have a variety of responsibilities. These include:

• Leading a site investigation team through a variety of projects, ensuring smooth development and delivery, project managing at times.
• Liaising closely with clients, contributing to business development, contract managing, tendering and team development.
• Overseeing site and report work.
• Mentoring junior team members.

As a result, the Principal Geotechnical Engineer role requires experience in a geology based role, with extensive knowledge of site investigation practices (for example a minimum experience of senior geo-environmental or geotechnical engineer role). You should have an industry relevant degree (for example geology, geotechnical engineering, environmental science etc), a full UK Driving Licence, a full right to work in the UK and be commutable to the Cardiff area.
