We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health practitioner to lead on the review/renewal of our borough wide additional HMO licensing scheme.
What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved
You’ll be leading on the project to review and renew the borough wide Additional HMO licensing scheme. You will work and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that key milestones are achieved and the project is driven forward.
The work will be varied from compiling and reviewing a variety of data; pulling together reports and ensuring a successful public consultation exercise.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity thew successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officer with a certificate of registration issued by the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or hold Chartered status. Additionally, you’ll have 5 years’ post qualification experience.
The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge/understanding of the Housing Act 2004 in relation to HMO licensing and relevant supporting regulations. Have an organised approach to own workload whilst dealing with conflicting prirorities. You will have experience of working collaboratively with internal and external partners to identify innovative and creative approaches to service directives. You are able to demonstrate your involvement in managing, organising and coordinating cross-service projects, and identify how this has led to a successful outcome. You will have proven experience preparing reports at a high level.
