As a Principal Engineering Manager you will be responsible forwill be responsible for the management and leadership of a design teamincluding project financial responsibilityThe position isrequired to support our expanding Water Utilities workload and willtypically involve providing designs for water and wastewater;infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. This will includedesign delivery at all stages, from feasibility and optioneeringthrough to detailed designs for construction, and commissioning. Thespecific role is required primarily to support our Severn Trent,United Utilities and Northumbrian Water frameworks however there willbe ample opportunities to work on other projects and frameworksthroughout the UK for a variety of clients.This is apermanent position and will be of a hybrid nature ideally based in oraround our Durham office however, we are open to receivingapplications from candidates from across the UK to be based at one ofour other regional offices or on a remote basis.What will your day look like…technical expert providing design guidance, support, andchallenge.to identify the scope of projects and incorporatethem into a priced programme of work.all design aspectsacross the project lifecycle to time, cost and quality metrics.as the single point of contact for projects.guidance on best methods and practice to meet technical andproject requirements.plan and manage effective all projectdesign requirements.compliance with H&S, CDM and otherappropriate regulations.with Clients on technical mattersand maintain a strong working relationship.with stakeholdersregarding project matters and provide technical reports, permits,responses to queries etc. as required by the project.tenderand project requirements and prepare fee estimates.administration reporting to line management includingmonitoring structural design programme delivery, resources, andbudgets.and inspire team members to deliver first classproject performance.About you…or master’s degree in electrical or mechanicalengineering, or equivalent.Engineer (C.Eng, I.Eng) orworking towards or experience equivalent to relevant competencyrequirements.to have previous people/line managementexperience.management and co-ordination skillssolving and technical realisation skills.knowledgeincluding statutory processes and technical standards.ofcurrent H&S legislation and the CDM Regulationsof working ina multi-disciplinary environmentWhat’s in it for you…We offer arewarding salary that is tailored to your skills and experience.
