Principal Engineer - to £170k
Full Stack Development; TypeScript, Node, Java, Data, React, AWS, Microservices
We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead a Tribe of 30 Engineers that build software products for clients across the UK and globally.
£150k-£170k base salary
2 days a week in London, 3 days remote / work from home

The Principal Engineer / Staff Engineer will be a hands-on, a technically gifted engineer that will be involved with multiple responsibilities such as Technical and Solution Architecture, Technical Strategy, Product Roadmapping, Mentoring etc.
This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role and whilst you may not be writing production code every day, you will need to have a solid understanding of the following technologies/languages:
TypeScript
React or similar
Node or similar
AWS / Cloud Computing
Java or other OO language
Distributed Systems
Microservices
⚠️ You must have experience working as a Principal Engineer or Staff Engineer in your current or previous position and have lead over 20 engineers ⚠️
Again, this role is IC but most of your work will be focused at the high level product design, technical guidance and strategy, understand system architecture and the bigger picture. There is very little coding on a day-to-day basis but you must command the respect of the engineers working under you, therefore it is essential that you have a solid engineering background and humbly see yourself as the strongest engineer in your team.
