Job Title:
Principal Engineer – Test and Evaluation
Location:
Bishopton, Scotland
Salary:
£53,928 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Customer/stakeholder management – you will be the primary focus for customers, managing trials from start to finish and responsible for final report
Responsible for compiling the estimates for the field trial, including trial hours, material and project management of trial
Effective management of meetings with stakeholders during the trial
Implementing the test and evaluation quality management strategy
Determining test results according to customers’ requirements and where necessary, agree with the specification conformity
Responsible for the development, modification, and validation of new and existing methods
Your skills and experiences:
Evidence of formal or on the job training in the field of test and evaluation
Experience in dynamic and climatic testing
Experience and a working knowledge of Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (WOME)
Ideally working towards a recognised professional qualification
Knowledge of industry quality management standards, including Def Stan 00-035

The Principal Engineer – Test and Evaluation team:
As part of this role you will be working in partnership with BAE customers to deliver next generation missile munitions solutions. This role will provide you with good career opportunities within BAE Land UK, or Naval Ships/Maritime.
