Principal Engineer - Systems

Location:New Malden. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.Salary: Up to £65,000 depending upon skills & experienceWhat you'll be doing:Lead general systems engineering activities across the engineering lifecycleProduction of progress and quality reporting tools and metricsAct as the senior point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectivesProvide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their developmentMake engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authorityMaintaining a level of SQEP for the role through personal and professional developmentYour skills and experiences:Significant experience in a software/hardware system delivery teamA high level of understanding of the Engineering LifecycleA high level of understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies and practicesCompetence and capability with Systems Engineering toolsBid team experienceRequirements management and system design experienceEngineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.
