Do you have Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis experience, and are you seeking a new job in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment are supporting a niche vehicle manufacturer in the development of a suit of new vehicles seeking a Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis on a permanent basis to support the design, development and delivery of the vehicle range. 

As a Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis you will lead the Analysis team to deliver efficient structural engineering solutions within the Automotive sector. The Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis can expect to:

• Lead the team in generating CAE models of structural components, typically metallic and composite structures for the automotive, rail, and defence sectors within quality guidelines
• Lead idea generation and problem resolution sessions through day-to-day working and structured design reviews
• Work closely with Engineering Designers to develop load paths, layout, and optimisation of structures to ensure the lightest and most cost-effective high-performance solutions
• Represent the department with both internal and external customers

• Engineering degree or relevant experience 
• Knowledge of simulation within vehicle development 
• Hands-on engineering within sheet metal or composites
• Knowledge of leading and managing teams carrying out HR people-based activities (c.10)
• Expert knowledge of NASTRAN AND / OR LS-Dyna or equivalents
