Principal Electrical Engineer

The Role:
The Principal Engineer will play a pivotal role in our team, bringing in-depth knowledge of EHV systems, strong project management skills, and a proven track record of achieving significant cost savings while ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:
Developing technical specifications, single-line diagrams, block cable diagrams, EHV cable calculations, and other design documentation.
Supporting civil engineers, meeting with clients and subcontractors to discuss technical matters.
Reviewing subcontractor tender offers, preparing technical bid analysis, and overseeing detailed design submittals.
Ensuring projects adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following:
In-depth knowledge of EHV systems and associated technologies with strong leadership, project management skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstratable experience in a similar role and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability.
A track record of successful project delivery from concept to commissioning.
A degree in Electrical engineering and full UK driving licence.
Ideally MSc or MEng Chartered.
