Principal Design Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturing company who are looking for a Principal Design Engineer.The company design and manufacture large scale engineering products and are at the forefront of their industry with a focus on renewable technology.Working in a dynamic R&D team this role will be a leading role in the management of a team and the delivery of new product development to support the strategy and overall business objectives to deliver carbon neutral products.The Principal Design Engineer will be responsible for:Leading a team of engineers in the development of productsLiaising with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of project componentsDevelop and manage 3D CAD engineering drawings and systemsEnsuring structural and mechanical engineering calculations are validatedCo-ordinate and lead design reviewsThe Principal Design Engineer will need:A mechanical component or system design background and experienceA relevant engineering degree or equivalentExperience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environmentExperience of managing and leading othersA sound knowledge of mechanical principles and calculationsElevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist division within Elevation Recruitment Group; specialising in the recruitment of Senior Projects; Design; Engineering positions Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
