Principal Design Engineer (Avionics)

Our client is a prominent helicopter manufacturer, offering comprehensive sales, customisation, maintenance, and support services for both civil and military applications. They are the chosen provider for the MoD's Defence Helicopter Flying School.

We are currently seeking a Principal Avionics Design Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for all avionic and electrical designs for new and retrofit projects. You will also oversee the avionic design team, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and mentoring their career development.

The successful candidate should have a proven track record in avionic integration design to EASA, UK, or UK Military standards, as well as a sound understanding of aircraft systems and software safety analysis processes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Enovia SmarTeam is required, along with 10-15 years of experience in design or engineering environments.
