Job Overview:
As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead our data science efforts, innovating and overseeing the development of advanced analytical models. This leadership role requires extensive experience in data science, mastery of technical skills, and the ability to mentor a team towards achieving groundbreaking solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
Drive innovation in data science methodologies and best practices
Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership for strategic decision-making
Advanced Modeling: Lead the creation of sophisticated predictive models, utilizing Python’s ecosystem, including advanced libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch for deep learning applications
Technical Leadership: Mentor a team of data scientists in best practices for data analysis, modeling, and validation. Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring the use of best-in-class methodologies and tools
Strategic Collaboration: Work with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define data science strategies that align with business goals
Innovation and Research: Drive innovation by staying abreast of the latest trends in machine learning and data science. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within the team
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record in predictive modeling and machine learning.
Expertise in Python, Pandas, NumPy, and machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture for data science projects.
Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership in Optimization Projects:
Experience leading complex projects that focus on optimization, demonstrating an ability to mentor teams and manage cross-functional projects effectively
Machine Learning Integration:
Knowledge in integrating optimization with machine learning techniques (using TensorFlow, PyTorch) to enhance decision-making processes and model performance
Cloud and MLOps for Optimization Models: Familiarity with deploying and managing optimization models on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and employing MLOps practices (with tools like MLFlow, BentoML) to ensure efficient lifecycle management of optimization solutions
Ethical AI and Continuous Learning:
A robust understanding of AI ethics and privacy considerations, especially relevant to optimization, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest trends and research in optimization and machine learning
