Job Title: Principal Cost EstimatorClient: BAE SystemsHourly Rate: £55 PAYE or £72.57 UmbrellaLocation: Barrow in Furness (Fully Remote)Role Overview:Joining the Dreadnought Pricing team as a Principal Cost Estimator. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage our estimating functions, driving critical business decisions through strategic cost analysis and pricing. Your expertise will guide the team and business across various tasks from facility business cases to whole boat pricing, offering a unique window into our operations.Role Description:Oversee the development and management of Labour and Material Cost Models throughout major Programmes, supported by Basis of Estimates (BOE) and validation processes.Play a crucial role in the management of resources and governance across business programmes, including bid activities, ongoing contract management, and forecasting.Provide expert advice on estimating, pricing strategies, contract terms, and related commercial policies to ensure value for money and compliance.Manage customer and supplier negotiations, and handle inquiries effectively, escalating significant issues as necessary.Lead scenario and simulation analysis to support strategic decisions from a micro to macro level.Foster the development and professional growth of direct reports, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with safety and quality standards.Core Duties:Ensure adherence to the End-to-End Estimating Process across the Life Cycle Management spectrum.Facilitate the development of programme requirements and provision of capabilities to meet emerging demands.Develop and interpret relevant programme metrics to support cost and performance forecasts.Represent senior management in strategic discussions and decision-making processes.Uphold high standards for Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE), leading by example and ensuring team compliance.Please either apply directly or email your CV over to #####
