Principal Civil / Structural Engineer - Rail

A highly respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, home to a dedicated team of exceptional industry experts, requires a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join their rail asset management division.This is an interesting role, which will involve working on a range of projects and structures, looking at inspection, examination, assessment and design of civil engineering assets found in a rail environment.Responsibilities:
* Production of civil and structural technical reports, specifications, designs and RAMS
* Conduct inspections of civil and structural assets, checking their condition, identifying any defects and their potential impact and recommending remedial actions
* Carrying out simple design solutions
* Take part in client meetings
* Management of a team of engineersRequirements:
* Experience as a Principal Civil Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer, ideally within the rail sector
* Experience carrying out on-site inspection and examination of civil / structural assets
* Strong knowledge of Network Rail assurance process
* Commercial awareness
* Team management experience
* Willingness to travel across London and the South
