Principal Bridge Engineers - Dublin and LeedsRoughan & O’Donovan (ROD) is looking to recruit principal bridge engineers with 15+ years’ experience, primarily in the area of cable-stayed and moveable bridges, for our bridges team.
Job type: Permanent, with full-time, part-time or flexible working options available
Location: Sandyford, D. 18, Woodford, D.17 or Otley, Leeds
Duties
Leading bridge teams in the design and construction/erection engineering of cable-stayed and moveable bridge projects in Ireland and the UK
Delivery of detailed design drawings and specifications and all other project outputs
Liaison with clients and contractors
Requirements
Honours degree in bridge engineering (Level 8
in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in bridge engineering on cable-stayed and/or moveable bridges
Chartered engineer
Ability to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
Strong technical knowledge and engineering skills/knowledge of bridge engineering software (analysis and design)
Flexible, motivated and focused
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to produce quality design outputs
Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English
Working knowledge of Eurocodes in the field of bridge/structural design
Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment with tight deadlines
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
