About the role - Primary Teaching assistant -Sutton

There is an opportunity for a Primary teachers assistant in a mainstream school in Lewisham. You will support children from KS1 to KS2, and you will be assisting the teacher with daily tasks around the day to day routine. Teachers' assistants in primary schools work closely with children to support their academic abilities, such as providing assistance to students who have special needs or learning disabilities on a daily basis. As a primary school teaching assistant, you will work with students either individually or in groups - therefore building a good relationship with the children you work with is an essential part of your job description. There will be a lot of interaction between you and teachers, the SENDCO and other teacher assistants in the Primary School. In addition to this, there are opportunities for you to lead intervention groups for children within your class or year group as well!
