We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive team at a reputable SEN Primary School located in South Croydon.

This brilliant SEN Primary school is committed to providing high-quality education and support for children aged 3-11 years old with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties, and complex needs.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the students' individual needs and development. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting students in their daily activities, both in classroom and outdoor settings.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning requirements.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Creating and adapting learning materials to suit students' abilities and needs.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and social interactions among students.
  • Offering emotional support and encouragement to help students build confidence and independence.
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress and achievements.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:


  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, PMLD, severe learning difficulties, and complex needs – either in a school setting or in personal life.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant certifications or training in SEN support would be advantageous.

We offer competitive daily rates of £83.50 - £90, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the school’s exceptional students.
