Primary Class Teacher – September

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: based on teacher pay scale MPS/UPS

Start Date: September start   

Hours: Full- time position (part-time applicants may be considered by the school)

GSL Education are currently partnering with schools in the Bournemouth area, to find teachers who are seeking new teaching opportunities within the primary classroom from September 2024.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with a passion for education and a heart for nurturing young children. If providing high-quality education and care is at the centre of your practice, then this could be the perfect position for you. The role will consist of planning, delivering and assessing lessons, monitoring the progression of the children, and ensuring that the needs of all pupils are met. The role is open to both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, dependent on experience and the needs of the school.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to the range of learning needs within the class

• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where each child feels valued and supported

• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and accessible learning environment

• Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents

Requirements:

• Teaching Certification (QTS /PGCE)

• Solid knowledge of the primary curriculum

• Previous experience working in a primary school is essential – this can include placements at university

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
