Tasked with building Ticketmaster’s relationships with the Artist community, this entails being on the pulse of where the business is moving through discussion with major industry players, informing the Artist community of the latest developments within Ticketmaster, assisting with the operations of events, acting as a resource to help maximize ticket sales and awareness, driving incremental revenue throughout the tour cycle, and understanding Artist needs and how Ticketmaster can serve them with new Products and
Services.
Within Ticketmaster Music, the Global Pricing team plays a critical role – an invaluable resource for top tours to price their tickets to market and capture fair value on their events, ensuring we sell the right ticket, to the right fan, at the right price.THE JOBThe role of Pricing Specialist owns a portfolio of high-profile events in UK and IE and is responsible for developing and implementing a pricing strategy commensurate with client goals for inventory of premium tickets. This includes market research and presentations to develop a unique plan for each client, and management of clients with sales updates and price adjustments throughout an event's sales cycle. This position requires client-facing interaction to help grow the quantity of premium inventory under management as well as the ability to research market trends and work within various technology platforms to make price adjustments and report on sales. The Pricing Specialist will also assist with revenue projections and be accountable for reaching revenue goals. In addition, this role will be responsible for recommending front-end and back-end enhancements to improve the efficiency and display of premium tickets and ensure our offering is cutting edge and delivering maximum value to Artists and promoters.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGEffectively monitor and manage a portfolio of events in UK and IE and implement pricing changes through various internal tools making the necessary strategic adjustments.Create a pricing strategy that includes pricing proposals for high-profile music, sports, and arts events across the International Markets.Carry out insightful analysis to formulate pricing strategies and inform pricing decisions.Identify trends in sales and be proactive in making price adjustments.Find opportunities for case studies to drive revenue and sales goals.Research on maximizing revenue for top performing events.Present pricing strategies and results to clients – provide guidance and actionable information, and define prioritized events based on revenue opportunities and partner relations.Collaborate with Global counterparts to share best practices and strategy on global tours.Build relationships with key industry stakeholders – Promoters, Agents, Venues, and Managers.Run reports as needed and identify sales trends, anomalies, and other actionable data points.Work with cross-functional groups, including - but not limited to - tour execution, marketing, finance, event operations, legal, product teams, data teams, etc., to initiate and execute ad hoc projects within the constraints of tight, and often fluid, time deadlines.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)Analytical background with strong problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of the business dynamics between venue, promoter and artistHighly effective communication skills – written and verbalExpertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OutlookInternet and product savvy with strong research and troubleshooting skillsMust be able to think through, evaluate and solve problems logically and efficientlyMust have exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detailKnowledge of the Ticketmaster Host system, event build process, and settlement preferred, but not requiredTicketing experience requiredBusiness intelligence platform knowledge (like Domo or Airtable) is preferred but not requiredBachelor’s degree preferred, but not requiredYOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)Exhibiting characteristics of integrity, honesty, discretion, loyalty and kindness to peersAbility to build relationships and work collaboratively to drive resultsGood interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with a range of people and personalitiesMust conduct all matters and communications in a professional and courteous manner as a representative of the companyLIFE AT TICKETMASTERWe are proud to be a part of Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest live entertainment company.Our vision at Ticketmaster is to connect people around the world to the live events they love.
