We are looking for a Pricing Manager to be accountable for overseeing the Pricing Policies and timelines - completing the relevant analysis to enable the category teams to deliver effective promotional and “pricing” programsAbout the role:Fully support the Category Directors (CD's) in delivering strong promotion plans and “pricing” for our retailers and the consumer, revenue, income and marginThis role will lead the implementation and changes to trading working practices (with the Category Directors)Your main responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate the production of the annual promotional plan at the beginning of each year
* Outline shape and size of the plan, discuss and agree it with relevant stakeholders with and on behalf of the CD's (this will be an evolving plan)
* By promotional period manage the pricing & timelines and activities with each stakeholder to ensure the promotional plans are delivered on time and aligned to agreed quality
* Analysis to measure quality and effectiveness of each promotional period plan and then make recommendations for enhancements, (consider sales revenues, margin, uplift in sales, consumer response and work with teams to incorporate changes for future periods)
* Make recommendations to the CD's at each stage of the promotion pricing process, number of offers, depth, match to original plan and request, margin (wholesale and retail) to ensure effectiveness
* Build on and develop the processes to facilitate effective promotions and pricing working with key stakeholders (for example incorporate SharePoint and review and enhance ways of working)
* Manage all system requirements for price and support the category teams to hit price related financial targets
* Provide relevant data to develop (with relevant stakeholders) strategy on pricing i.e., who we match, when and any target differential
* Compare pricing to the market (retail and wholesale to be considered)
* Identify by exception problem areas and make recommendations at product and category level if necessary
* System checking and working with IT to identify pricing anomalies and define enhancementAbout You:
* Significant experience in FMCG Wholesale or Retail sector (Buying, Sales, Category or Promotional Management)
* Ability to confidently demonstrate tenacity, determination, and assertiveness in pursuit of a commercially successful outcome, managing conflict where necessary
* Ability to build relationships internally and externally using effective influencing skills
* A strong and effective negotiator
* Experience of creating and delivering Category Strategy and promotional plans
* Numerate, with experience of analysing performance and market data
* Problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
