NEW Pricing & Commercial Manager position now available and leading global law firm.You will be joining a 7 person strong team reporting into the Head of Pricing. The team is made up of Analysts, Managers and Senior Managers, all of which have a mix of previous sector experience.This role would suit someone who has significant pricing experience from professional services but other sectors will be considered and someone who can demonstrate strong portfolio management of existing clients, providing best practice know how to those within finance outside of pricing as well as non finance people.Also someone who is able to scope out new opportunities and be a self starter to work on "mini projects" that will ultimately add value and enhance their offering.As the Pricing & Commercial Manager you will be a business partner and trusted advisor to relationship partners and other senior decision-makers in order to drive commercial returns across the business.You will be providing pricing best practice within a portfolio of global panels and will add further value by analysis of internal and external financial levers to identify actionable insights.Job descriptionRole and responsibilitiesManage a portfolio of strategic clients from a commercial perspective; advise Partners across the full range of commercial value-add options in addition to rates, and lead on financial elements of client pitches (panel/ client)Act as trusted advisor to Partners; influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders relying on knowledge from prior engagements as well as outside-world commercial insightContribute to pricing best practice including the build and maintenance of pricing templates and models. Support application across the network; drive take-up and consistencyIdentify actionable commercial insights to improve returns; drive projects to optimise associated benefitsBig picture approach to projects working cross-function; able to consider the impact across the firm of new initiatives and inter-dependencies on concurrent projectsIdentify areas for systems and operational improvement within the team; implement and measureAbility to understand wider business issues and ensure they are factored into departmental outputSkills and attributes needed:Outstanding analytical skills and knowledge of economic factors impacting professional servicesAbility to influence at the highest level as a credible, fast-thinking, collaborative and commercial individualExcellent communicator; able to explain complex issues to financial or non-financial stakeholdersCollaborative hands-on approach to ensure success across a team based environmentMust haves:Experience as a senior pricing professional (B2B essential / Professional Services preferred)Experience in a 'self-starting' commercial role;Specifics:Will need to be office based 60% of the time, therefore in commutable distant to London.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
